Easter Egg
A whole bunch of hidden features
Access The Egg
Egg 1: On disc 2, or side 2 if you have the single-disc release, notice how the main menu is NOT a still picture like all the rest (the counter is running). Let it cycle through a few times (it takes about half a minute each time) and one of four things (picked randomly I believe) will happen: 1) nothing, and it will begin a new cycle; 2) the box in the lower left corner next to Data Hub will shine with the words Join The Resistance; 3) the same box will shine with a circular symbol; & 4) the menu will morph into the T-1000's head commanding you to "Get out." If you click on the box when it says Join The Resistance, you get a secret message from John Connor which takes you to a DVD-ROM combat training simulation game. I don't have DVD-ROM so I don't know how good t is, but the message itself is cool and has a cute little reference to the Internet and a theory on how Mac-users might be the survivors of Judgment Day! This is the same message that is on Disc 1 when you click on the side of the endoskeleton's head when you check out the mission profiles of the cast and crew. The circular symbol, which I don't see come up as often as the others, takes you to an amusing little ad for Swelltone, whatever that is.
Egg 2: It's an extra 156 minute run of the film. It's the Special Edition, but with the "Future Coda" scene replaced at the end. For those who don't know about this scene and why it was cut, you'll have to review the DVD and movie.
1) Click on "Special Edition" from the Main Menu.
2) Highlight "Play Special Edition" and key in 82997 on your remote. A. "The Future Is Not Set" will appear in the right hand portion of the setup screen, and the left eye of the Terminator will glow.
3) You should now be able to click "Play Extended Special Edition." A. If this does not work, try 8 enter 2 enter 9 enter 9 enter 7 enter to achieve the same effect. B. If this still does not work, access Title 3 with your player. This is where the above methods deliver you anyway.
Egg 3: On side/disc 2 go to the trailers page. move left to highlight the up/return arrow, then move down. a small box in the bottom left corner will be highlighted. this takes you thru to a load of japanese trailers.
-----------------------------------------------------------
-Easier Method to access some of the eggs-
The Swelltone ad on the T2 disc can be found much easier if you just skip to track 60. (Yes, I went through all 60-odd tracks looking for that! - the Future Coda scene's also directly accessible, rather than going through the big "documentary" or the 82997 method).
**:Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Apart from the theatrical version and the Special Edition cut of the movie, Artisan Home Entertainment's phenomenal Ultimate Edition of 'Terminator 2: Judgment Day' also contains a third cut of the film, presented as a hidden feature on the disc.
Insert the side/disc that contains the feature presentation and from the disc's main menu, select 'Special Edition' which brings up a dedicated menu to access the film's Special Edition cut. On the right hand side of the panel you will notice some weird, unreadable symbols that will give you access to the hidden feature - actually they are roman numbers.
Take your remote control and press the key combination '82997' - the date of Judgment Day in the movie - and the symbols on the side should change to the text 'The Future Is Not Set.' If they don't, please make sure to press the 'Enter' key on your remote control after every one of the digits.
Once correctly entered, the eyes of the endoskeleton will light up and you will see a new menu entry appearing, giving you access to the 'Extended Special Edition' version of the movie with the alternate ending and other scenes integrated in the film.
If this approach is too tedious for you, there's an even simpler and faster way to access the additional cut. Simply use your remote control and go directly to Title 3 and you will also get to see the Extended Special Edition cut of the movie. Please consult your player's instruction manual how to directly access titles and chapters.
But there is even more hidden material on this release. Insert the second disc/side of the DVD and bring up the main menu. Don't touch any buttons, and every 30 seconds, the disc cycles through one of three different 'breaks' - in the first the lower left hand corner flickers with lightning and the words 'Join the Resistance' appear. Select it and you will find a weblink that takes you to Artisan's website. The second break is a small head of Beethoven, which will take you to the original Swelltone trailer, and the most impressive, third break comes in the shape of the T-1000. His head will morph out of the center of the screen and says 'Get Out!' These three breaks are cycled at random. This

Egg 1: At the main menu screen, press 66. The words "Censorship Sucks!" will appear, and you'll be presented with the option to play the "censored" version of "Terror Firmer". Press 6 again to find out what got cut...
Egg 2: At the Special Features screen, press left on the remote until the "Terror Firmer" logo is highlighted. This will give you access to the color bars, as well as a special *ahem* surprise... (Hint: It might be a homage to the goodie in the color bars in the "Boogie Nights" DVD...)
Egg 3: In the Special Features menu, access the Audio Commentary option. At the bottom of this menu will be an option to play the film with no sound at all. Pressing Enter here leads you to a screen with a secret URL on the Troma web site, plus star Will Keenan singing "Amazing Grace"...
**:Terror Firmer
On Troma’s 2-disc set of the schlockfest 'Terror Firmer' you can find a number of interesting hidden and entertaining features.
On the first disc’s main menu, hit '666' – the number of the Beast – and you will see a screen saying 'Censorship sucks!' The DVD will then proceed to play the hilarious R-rated version of the film, which consists of the nothing but the opening credits and the closing scene.
If you insert the second disc of the set in the DVD player and once again hit '666' on the main menu, you will get to see a cool little feature about Lloyd Kaufman's quest for the guy who ran naked through New York for the sake of 'Terror Firmer.' A funny, pointless little treat…
Back to the first disc we go. Go to the DVD’s 'Bonus Materials' section and select the 'Terror Firmer' logo using your remote control. You will see some color bars, followed by a little surprise.
Finally, another hidden feature can be found in the commentary section. Select 'Watch movie with no sound' and you will get to witness Will Keenon singing 'Amazing Grace.' Immediately following the world class performance, you will receive a code and a password for a surprise at Troma’s website.

*:Toy Story 2
In Buena Vista Home Entertainment's release of 'Toy Story 2,' which can be found in the 'Toy Story 2-Pack' as well as the 'Toy Story Ultimate Toy Box,' you can find an interesting feature that is not easy to detect.
During Buzz Lightyear's speech in chapter 14 you should try to switch to the French audio track on the disc for a change. If you do so, you will notice that the music in the film has been replaced for that version. Instead of the American National Anthem that is underlying Buzz's speech in the English version, you can now hear Randy Newman's 'One World Anthem' instead. For the uninitiated, it is practically impossible to find this exciting feature, but luckily it is referenced on the supplements disc in the Ultimate Toy Box set.

*:Toy Story: The Ultimate Toy Box
Apart from the plethora of regular extras, on Buena Vista Home Entertainment's high caliber 3-disc 'Toy Story: The Ultimate Toy Box' you can also find some hidden stuff!

On the next screen that appears, press the 'Left' arrow key on your remote control, and a question mark will appear. With the question mark highlighted, hit 'Enter' for a funny outtake with an introduction by directors John Lasseter Ash Brannon.
Also on disc 3, select 'Toy Story 2,' then go to 'History,' and then to 'The Continuing World of Toy Story.' After the video, which you can skip with your remote control, you get a new menu called 'Links.' It features some story reels of Buzz's cartoon, Woody's nightmare, and other stuff.
On all 3 discs of the set, there is a DVD credit screen. To get to them, on 'Toy Story' press the 'Left' arrow key from the main menu. On 'Toy Story 2' press the 'Up' arrow key from the main menu, and on the Supplement disc, in Section 1, select 'History,' go all the way down to
highlight 'Menu' and press the 'Left' arrow key.
Yet another hidden feature can be found on the box set. Insert the second disc of the set and then directly access Title 4 on the DVD. Please refer to your player's instruction manual how to access titles and chapters directly, as every player is handling this differently. Once selected, you will see trailers for 'The Emperor's New Groove,' 'Fantasia 2000,' and 'Dinosaur.'
